Balagan Theatre Company still has opportunities for ushers and box office support for Cloud 9, running now through November 10. Cloud 9 performs Thursday-Saturday nights at 7:30 and Sunday matinees at 2:00 in our brand-new space at Pike & 12th on Capitol Hill.

Ushering is a volunteer position; you will be expected to hand out programs and assist patrons before the show and, of course, you see the show for free. We have openings for several of the remaining performances.

We also have an opening for a house manager/box office staffer for the third weekend of the show, November 1-4. The house manager will be expected to run the box office and remain in the lobby during each performance; you'll receive a stipend and have free admission to the show when you are not working. You will also receive one comp for a guest per weekend of the show.

Please contact Sylvia Drake at sylvia@balagantheatre.org for more information. To learn more about Balagan, please visit our website at http://www.balagantheatre.org/ .

PNTA started a blog a few weeks ago. So far it's been an interesting ride.

First off, thank you to those that commented! Dana Nye ran across the blog and called me this morning to comment on how great it was to be "involved" and to read all the insightful comments!

We've had such a great response from everyone here at the shop that Chrystian (Web Guru) and I want to continue this! Each Wednesday we will be posting questions, discussions, feedback opportunities for you to educate us! (The other posts, our regular Monday and Friday posts, will be our opportunity to talk about one of our most favorite places on earth -- PNTA!)

Thanks for joining us!

Please see and comment here.

PNTA started a blog a few weeks ago. So far it's been an interesting ride.

We have quite a collection of people that were reading, but not much that were commenting.

And comments/activity are good for traffic stuff.

We're looking at doing something different in today's post -- PNTA wants to be educated.

Please see and comment here.

Balagan Theatre Company is seeking a house manager for The Spinning, running May 10-May 26. The Spinning performs Thursday-Saturday nights at 7:30 and Sunday matinees at 2:00, with one pay-what-you-can Monday evening on the 21st.

The house manager will be expected to run the box office and remain in the lobby during each performance; we can arrange for a substitute house manager for one of the performances so that you have a chance to see the play. Because The Spinning has strong adult themes, the house manager will be responsible for enforcing the "mature audiences" restriction.

There is a stipend for this position. You will also receive two comp tickets per weekend of the show.

Please contact Sylvia Drake at sylvia@balagantheatre.org for more information. To learn more about Balagan, please visit our website at http://www.balagantheatre.org/ .

When the sun rises, the feelings of these disquieted hearts have been radically rearranged...for those who are still alive, that is."
